Hussein Fadiga has been jailed at the Monrovia Central Prison following a court ruling that mandated him and his Brother to pay a libel judgment of $1.5 million in favor of former LDEA (Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency) boss Col. Abraham Kromah.

The ruling stems from Fadiga's alleged defamatory statements, which the court found to be damaging to Kromah's reputation. The judgment underscores the importance of responsible journalism and the legal consequences of publishing false or defamatory information.

It can be record that the Fadiga brothers accused Col. Kromah of stealing $200,000 and removing CCTV Cameras  during a DEA raid on the home of notorious  drug trafficker George “Japan” Obi.

Col Kromah quickly denied the allegations and immediately filed a  lawsuit, demanding five millions in damages.

The  Civil Law Court ruled in Col Kromah’s favor on May 6,2025 awarding him $1.5 million and finding the Fadiga brothers liable for defamation.

The court later dismissed an appeal filed by the defendants after they failed to “perfect” it in accordance with Chapter 24, Sections 24.1 and 24.2 of the Criminal Procedure Law.

Since the ruling by the Court the Fadiga’s brothers have  refused to pay the damages.

Last week, the court issued a travel ban to prevent them from fleeing the country.

The latest development on today has reawakened the court action in enforcing the rule of law and order across the country.
