In a bold step toward promoting environmental hygiene and civic responsibility,
The Money Empire, a fast-rising Liberian youth-led brand known for its empowerment initiatives, has partnered with the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) to kickstart a major clean-up campaign across the city of Monrovia. The initiative, launched under the theme “Clean Monrovia, Starts with Us,” aims to tackle the growing sanitation concerns in the capital and raise awareness on the need for citizen involvement in keeping the city clean.

The campaign was officially launched over the weekend with a day-long city-wide clean-up exercise, drawing volunteers from community-based organizations, student groups, influencers, and residents. Streets were swept, drains cleared, and public spaces sanitized as the joint team worked tirelessly across major Monrovia communities.

Speaking during the launch, Baba 2Switt,  CEO of The Money Empire, stressed the importance of collective effort in transforming the capital. “This is not just about picking up trash. This is about taking responsibility for our environment, our health, and our image as a nation. Monrovia is our home, and it’s time we treat it with the respect it deserves,” Baba stated. “The youth must lead the charge. We cannot wait on government alone — cleanliness is a shared duty.”

Baba, who has been at the forefront of several social and empowerment projects, expressed gratitude to the MCC for embracing the collaboration. He emphasized that The Money Empire is committed to not just business, but to nation-building and social change.

Mayor John Charuk Siafa, newly appointed Mayor of Monrovia, echoed similar sentiments in a separate statement. He lauded The Money Empire for taking the initiative to support the MCC’s broader sanitation agenda. “What we’re witnessing here is true patriotism. It is time we move away from the blame game and take practical steps. The Monrovia City Corporation welcomes every citizen, group, or business that wants to be part of the solution,” Mayor Siafa noted.

He further emphasized that a clean city is not only about beauty, but also about public health and economic potential. “No investor wants to set up shop in a dirty, disorganized city. Cleanliness reflects our values, our leadership, and our discipline as a people,” he added.

The campaign will continue with weekly clean-up drives, school-based sanitation awareness, and community competitions rewarding clean neighborhoods. Organizers have also planned social media campaigns to engage young Liberians and spread the message further.

With growing support from ordinary citizens and institutions alike, the collaboration between The Money Empire and the MCC is already being hailed as a model for public-private partnerships that bring real change.

In closing, both Baba and Mayor Siafa issued a strong call to action: “Let us all become custodians of our environment. Whether you’re a student, vendor, driver, or business owner — Monrovia belongs to all of us. Let’s clean it, protect it, and keep it green.”

This collaboration stands as a beacon of unity, responsibility, and hope for a cleaner and better Monrovia.
