Ganta, Nimba County – August 15, 2025-In a powerful moment of accountability, a former drug trader publicly confessed to supplying Tramadol to the youth of Nimba County during an Anti-Drug Awareness Program. This event, organized by the Nimba Business Association in partnership with the Nimba Civil Society Council, aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Standing before community leaders, youth representatives, and civil society actors, the individual boldly stated, "Everyone on this road knows that I used to sell drugs (Tramadol) to young people and supply the entire county. I am here today to tell you that I have changed. If you ever see me selling even one Tramadol on this road again, you can arrest me and take me straight to prison in Sanniquellie."

The atmosphere was charged with emotion, as attendees absorbed the weight of this confession. The program also included participation from former users, local law enforcement, traditional leaders, and business owners, all committed to tackling the pressing issue of substance abuse.

This candid declaration served not only as a shock to the audience but also as a testament to the possibility of personal transformation. It underscores the urgent need for grassroots efforts focused on combating drug abuse in the community. The event marked a vital step forward in the fight against the drug crisis affecting the youth.
