Ganta, Nimba County – August 16, 2025 The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has apprehended a 42-year-old woman, Lisa Dennis, for illegal possession of narcotics in Ganta City.

This arrest occurred during a routine patrol, where officers discovered Dennis holding one kilogram of compressed marijuana, valued at approximately US$100 (about LRD 19,300). Following her arrest, Dennis was taken to the LDEA office in Ganta, where she is presently undergoing investigations.

Authorities stated that she will be presented to court for prosecution in connection with the drug-related charges against her. The LDEA emphasized its ongoing mission to combat the illegal drug trade plaguing Liberia. They also called on the public to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious or drug-related activities in their communities.

This proactive approach aims to enhance public safety and deter drug abuse in the region. As the LDEA continues its efforts, they remind citizens of the importance of community involvement in eradicating drug-related issues.
