Ganta City, Nimba County – August 19, 2025 – The Ganta Business Association (GBA) has donated two brand-new TVS black exhaust motorbikes, valued at about US$2,000, to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Ganta Detachment.

The donation, presented Tuesday at the LDEA headquarters in Ganta, is aimed at boosting the agency’s fight against the growing challenge of drug trafficking and abuse in the city.

GBA Chairperson Prince Howard said the contribution was in response to the logistical constraints faced by the LDEA, particularly the lack of mobility.

“Transportation has been a major challenge for officers in carrying out their duties. These motorbikes will help strengthen operations and ensure a safer community,” Howard emphasized.

Gompa City Mayor Samuel Hardt, who officially turned over the keys, praised the business community for its commitment to public safety.

He noted that collective support was critical in the national fight against drugs.

Receiving the donation, LDEA Nimba County Commander Madison Gaylah, along with Ganta Commander Hilton Wiles, expressed gratitude to the GBA.

They assured residents that the motorbikes would be used strictly for operational purposes, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to making Ganta a drug-free city.
