The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has announced plans to introduce more than 2,000 branded match balls ahead of the upcoming national league season.

The move is part of the LFA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Liberia’s football identity and promoting homegrown sports initiatives. According to LFA President Mustapha Raji, the branded balls will not only enhance the professionalism of the domestic league but also serve as a symbol of unity and pride for players, fans, and stakeholders.

“These match balls are uniquely designed to reflect the LFA brand, giving our competitions a more professional feel and helping to promote our identity both locally and internationally,” Raji stated during a media engagement on Tuesday.

The branded balls will be distributed across all league levels, including the men’s and women’s divisions, and will be used in official matches throughout the season. The initiative is expected to improve the overall quality of games while also serving as a marketing tool for Liberian football.

By investing in customized match balls, the LFA joins a growing list of African football associations that are taking steps to standardize equipment and promote national branding in their leagues. The move is also in line with broader efforts to raise the standard of football in the country, attract more sponsors, and inspire greater participation among youth players.

The new league season is set to kick off soon, with the branded match balls expected to make their debut on opening day.
