Grand Bassa, Sept. 5, 2025 – The Second Judicial Circuit Court in Buchanan has handed down a landmark ruling, sentencing 32-year-old Prince Wilson, commonly known by his street alias “ERU,” to 10 years imprisonment for multiple armed robbery offenses.

Wilson, who has long been regarded as one of the most feared gang leaders in the port city, admitted to the charges during his trial but pleaded for leniency. Presiding Judge Joe S. Barkon rejected his appeal for mercy, citing his repeated involvement in violent criminal activities that have terrorized residents.

According to court records, Wilson carried out a series of violent robberies against residents, including Julia Wilson, widely known as “Pig Tail Mamie,” as well as Gsrmai Harris and Chuchu More. Victims testified that Wilson and his accomplices violently attacked them, stealing mobile phones, cash, and other personal valuables.

Judge Barkon emphasized that the sentence should serve as a deterrent to others engaged in similar acts of violence. “This court cannot overlook the trauma and insecurity caused by the accused. The law must take its course,” he stated firmly.

Wilson, a father of five, was immediately transferred to the Upper Buchanan Central Prison, where he will serve his sentence.

Local authorities have welcomed the ruling, noting that it comes at a time when Grand Bassa County is stepping up efforts to curb gang-related violence. Residents expressed relief, describing the decision as a significant step toward restoring safety and order in Buchanan.
