    Liberia Launches Natural Capital Atlas at COP30 in Belém, Brazil

    Liberia proudly unveils its landmark publication, data platform, and documentary “Liberia: The Natural Beauty and Wonders , A Crown for the World.” The launch marks a major milestone in showcasing the country’s rich biodiversity, vast ecotourism potential, and unwavering commitment to climate action.

    Co-created by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), UNDP, Forestry Development Authority (FDA), MICAT, and development partners, the Natural Capital Atlas is designed to guide green investment, policy innovation, and sustainable development.

    The documentary takes viewers on a breathtaking journey from the misted canopy of Sapo National Park to thunderous waterfalls and untouched coastlines, revealing Liberia’s exceptional and largely intact ecosystems. It highlights nature-based solutions such as blue-carbon mangroves that protect coastal communities and store carbon, along with community reforestation projects that restore habitats and sustain livelihoods.

    Beyond beauty, Liberia’s forests, rivers, and cultural heritage represent strategic national assets,fueling sustainable tourism, resilient communities, and impact-ready investment opportunities that align with the country’s green growth vision.
